On 25 May the jury of ECOC’s BALATORIUM A.I.R. met to select the artists participating in the autumn edition of the program. The members of the professional jury - Can Togay, Diána Berecz, Eva Bubla, Dr. Reuben Fowkes, Judit Szalipszki - with the agreement of the Balaton Limnological Research Institute and the Directorate of the Balaton Uplands National Park, selected the following projects from the 69 valid applications received:
Péter Mátyási: Extinct plant portraits
Anders Ehlin and Selma Boskailo: The New Liquidity: Underwater Cosmologies
Marie Ouazzani & Nicolas Carrier: Memories of the Lake
The selected artists will spend two research weeks at the Balaton Limnological Research Institute in the first half of October and present new productions based on the collaborations with the institute's researchers at the BALATORIUM Ecology Week of August 2023.
